Meet our Ministry Team…
Lead Pastor - John Shields: John is currently serving his eleventh year at People’s. He holds a B.A in Bible/Theology from John Wesley College and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Kit and they have four daughters: Olivia, Morgan, Megan and Haverly. His passion is discipleship.
Student Pastor - Shannon Wolfe: Shannon has been serving at People’s for five years. He brings tremendous passion, energy and commitment to our Student Ministry. He holds a B.A. in Christian Ministry from John Wesley College. He is married to Cherese and they have two children: Addie and Tait.
Children’s Director - Cherese Wolfe: (Yes, Shannon’s wife) She also has been on staff for five years. Her love for children and enthusiasm flows into our Children’s Ministry and is evident to all. Cherese holds a Bachelor of Social Work from UNC-Charlotte and a Master of Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill. She also is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Senior’s Director - Bett Waddell: Bett has been on staff for six years. She has a love and commitment for those in their senior years. From exercise programs, to birthday lunches, to excursions of all kinds, plan on seeing her with a group of our seniors. Bett brings years of planning and organization from the corporate world to bear in her ministry at People’s. She is married to Mike.
